THIOGAMMA is a preparation for the treatment of neuropathy. Alpha-lipoic acid, the active ingredient, is a substance produced during the body’s own metabolism in higher organisms; it influences certain metabolic processes. Furthermore, alpha-lipoic acid possesses (antioxidant) properties that protect nerve cells against reactive degradation products.
The preparation is used for abnormal sensations associated with diabetic nerve damage (polyneuropathy).
